Linda Richards Regional Co-ordinator – Midlands
Linda has for many years worked to support people experiencing social exclusion in terms of homelessness, education and work opportunities from both disabled and non disabled communities.
Some ten years ago, Linda trained to become a Neuro Linguistic Programming Practitioner (NLP), obtained Counselling Skills qualifications, Therapeutic Massage, Aromatherapy and other complimentary therapies, all of which were used to assist vulnerable young people and adults with low self esteem, lack of confidence and having learning barriers, to develop communication, help them feel good about themselves and enjoy the learning experience – realising their fantastic potential . Some of this time was spent educating others through training and consultancy, helping them to understand the Disability Discrimination Act and providing disability Equality Training.
Since joining Circles Network in 2006, Linda is overseeing the modernisation of two Day services in Warwickshire, ensuring that all people accessing the service have their choices acknowledge, their voices heard and are fully included in their communities. This has and continues to be done through a Person Centered Planning approach.
Linda is part of the Academy for Inspiring Inclusion training team and takes part in the delivery of Person Centered Planning training courses, NLP Communication courses, therapies for communication and feel good factor.
