Advocacy Services in Scotland

Circles Network provides independent advocacy services in Scotland.

If you feel it might help to have an independent person to explain or clarify things for you or to help you speak up, contact your local advocacy service.

Our advocates provide information in an understandable way, they will explain your rights, the procedures you need to follow and the resources available to you.
They will assist you with any issues that are of concern to you.

Our advocates:

Listen so you are heard without being judged and at your own pace

Inform you of your options and sources of help

Represent your point of view, ensuring it is clearly known

Encourage and help you without taking over

Support you over hurdles without standing back

Negotiate and involve you in discussions about you

We are independent of the NHS and Local Authority Social Work Services.

We can provide you with support in communication with all relevant agencies and at:

  • Tribunals
  • Reviews
  • CPAs
  • Legal proceedings
  • Meetings

We will help you with such matters as Named Person issues, Advance and Personal Statements, Appeals to Tribunals and in accessing and getting the best out of resources available to you.
