Description of Role

Circles Network Advocacy Service in Moray has a vacancy for a highly organised and self-motivated Service Manager who is passionate about supporting the individuals who use health and social care services to have their views and opinions expressed and heard. 

Leading the front line delivery of our quality services - as Service Manager you will manage and motivate team members to deliver in accordance with legislation, regulatory standards and contractual requirements. 

You will also ensure that the needs and aspirations of people we support are being met and that this can be evidenced in line with Circles Network's policies, procedures and practice.

Role Summary:

To effectively lead the advocacy service: training, professionally developing and managing advocacy workers, administration staff and volunteers all to deliver high quality advocacy services for eligible people.

To manage the efficient operation and all functions of the advocacy service, monitoring costs and budgets in the delivery of an accessible and flexible service.

To develop positive relationships and networks to ensure the positive promotion and high level visibility of the service and its professional status, in order to maintain optimum referral levels and effective signposting and support of partners.

To maintain effective relationships with the Commissioners and Circles network senior Management team and deliver high standards of recording, monitoring, evaluating and reporting on the service outcomes.

Amongst other duties, the post-holder will lead on training, professionally developing and managing advocacy workers, administration staff and volunteers to deliver high quality advocacy services for people that will facilitate opportunities for inclusion, empowerment, advocacy and self-determination for people using the service within the legal and statutory framework of Mental Health Care.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications include:

  • Must be a car driver with a full licence.
  • Have good IT literacy - using Word, Excel etc.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of all the legislation, guidance, standards and protocols associated with advocacy.
  • Experience of managing or supervising a team of advocacy workers and of delivering services for people who have mental health and learning issues.
  • A degree or equivalent Level 5 qualification in a relevant discipline.
