Description of Role

Full time, part time and bank positions available.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about horses, working with disabled adults and about working alongside children and young people.

The role will involve practicing Equine Facilitated Learning and using natural horsemanship techniques with children, young people and their families who are isolated or at risk of isolation due to disability, disadvantage or long term ill-health. Equine care skills are essential. A positive, nurturing leadership approach with children and young people is essential, along with an understanding and knowledge of safeguarding.

This role will also support disabled individuals to live in the community, offering individualised support with specific guidelines for each person, based on their plan for a positive future, their interests, preferences and needs.In particular, you will be required to work directly with each person in an empowering style, which enables and encourages participation in a range of activities in the local community and to live successfully in their home.

The successful applicant will work as a member of a team, which offers a person-centred approach, and maintains a positive, solutions focused attitude to challenges. Experience of working alongside people with autism may be useful.
