Description of Role

To provide independent advocacy to individuals detained in Medium and Low Secure care and community settings within the Glasgow area. The successful candidate will support individuals who are detained under the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003 to make informed choice in relation to their care and treatment. The role involves supporting individuals at a variety of formal and informal meetings and liaising with professionals involved in the care and treatment of detained persons.

The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic team of experienced forensic advocates and should have a degree or equivalent level qualification in advocacy, social work, nursing, psychology, law, or a related discipline.
