Circles Network Inclusive Arts Festival

Over the last 22 years Circles Network has built inclusive communities on the foundations of justice, advocacy, empowerment and friendships.  Our vision is to create social inclusion, promote the spirit of the community, accept difference and encourage everyone to share community life.

To help bring communities together Circles Network help run the Mid Sussex and the Crawley Time Bank.

What is a Time Bank?

A Time Bank is a way for people to share skills with others in their community and be rewarded for it – in time. For every hour of time you give providing a service for another participant, you receive one time credit.

What can you do with your time credits?

You can exchange your time credits when you need a service from someone else. You can give them to a member of your family who needs some help. You can save them to use in the future.

In May and July 2015 we created a massive Festival of Inclusion in the rural villages of Staplefield and Handcross.  It was two separate days of artistic and creative fun, with music, arts, crafts, and totally inclusive for everyone in our community.

In our workshops we partnered Ginger Moo Arts Consortium with members of the Mid Sussex Time Bank who produced lino artwork to exhibit at The Hawth Theatre in Crawley.  We think we produced some amazing pieces of work, but more importantly we made lasting friendships as well as learning new skills.
