Projects

Families Forward, Sheffield

Our project in the North based on the needs of families with parent or parents who have learning disabilities. We are there to support the families with the variety of issues that they have to tackle as being parents, whether the children themselves are disabled or not. The project gives personal support to individuals, families and communities to challenge the thinking and overcome the barriers that mean people are isolated or at risk of exclusion. We support people to take control of their own lives. Download the project leaflet (PDF)

Family Empowerment

We are able to provide fee for service work on Family Court matters. This includes: initial review (reading papers, case discussion, meetings), paper based assessment report, assessment, court report (based on assessment), additional reports (initial, interim, addendum, progress), court attendance, consultancy and direct support. Contact Andy Throssell for more details. Download the project leaflet (PDF)

Steering 2 Success

This project will develop and work with an existing group of carers in Manchester who have formed a support group to help share ideas on dealing positively with extreme behaviour from the young people in their care. This will include training in person centred planning and circles of support from ourselves and the "Nurtured Heart" approach from America. Circles Network will support the group to develop these techniques into a set of tools that they can train other carers in, using facilitation skills, graphic design (for support materials) and interactive computer aided learning.
